Requirements

• Good knowledge PL/SQL and Databases, hot fixes, backup recovery
• Knowledge of system imaging, basic TCP/IP functionality, and networking a must
• Good skills in windows, Solaris/Linux Server administration
• Good knowledge in SAN/ NAS/ Netapps/ Hitachi/ Isilon
• Excellent communication skills
• General cultural awareness, particularly for agents who are supporting customers in a region other than the one they are located in (e.g. ability to detect & understand different regional accents, general knowledge of what the capital of the country is, the main cities or regions etc. to avoid having to make spelling requests to customers).

Responsibilities

• SAN and NAS storage administrator with extensive experience working on NetApp, Hitachi and Isilon.
• Manage storage administration activities like storage allocation/ de-allocation / data-migration monitor and act upon the alerts for storage array
• Capacity Planning and Disaster Recovery Planning and design as applicable
• Recommend changes to procedures which result in operational optimization
• Participate in root cause analysis reviews when applicable
• Maintain all hardware systems supported and administered by the Server organization
• Responsible for imaging and handing off servers as required by the Server organization
• Responsible for maintaining all tools and documentation necessary for remotely administering all Server team supported systems.
• Develop and maintain virtualized hardware environment and develop solutions that are datacenter and power conscious.
• Provide a forward looking view into the Solaris environment, providing evolutionary plans between current and future SUN operating systems and hardware platforms.
